Solitaire Flat Coated Retrievers
Our Dogs

Currently, we have four Flat Coats. Duncan, my first
black male, was born on February 1, 2000. He was my
first show dog. Unfortunately, he got cancer before he
was three years old. Thanks to a skilled surgeon and
early detection, he is now cancer free and enjoying life to
the fullest. Duncan is a wonderful dog and came to live
with us at ten weeks through the generosity of Sandee
Cassidy and Chris Butler in Washington state. Duncan
has obedience and agility training, but he prefers to stay
at home, take daily long walks, and smell the roses (and
everything else) along the way. He also enjoys swimming
and would swim three times a day if he had his choice.

Diamond, my second Flat Coat, was born on November
28, 2001.She is a beautiful liver girl from California. She
finished her championship before age three with limited
showing. She also has obedience training, and has done
some agility work. Diamond likes to do it all, and has a
sweet and loving temperament. She has never met a
child, adult, or other animal she does not like. Diamond is
a wonderful example of a liver Flat Coat. She has a lovely
dark brown coat, and her eyes and nose are also dark
brown. Although on the smaller side, she is structurally
very sound and has great movement and style. She
loves the show ring and all the excitement of shows in
general. She is a joy to train and show. She also likes to
boss Duncan around, but does so in a gentle and loving
manner.

We kept two puppies from Diamond's litter born on May
12, 2005. Seven, a beautiful liver girl, looks a lot like her
momma, but we think she will be bigger when she is full
grown. She is full of herself already!  Spade, a lovely
black male, is a cuddle bug and a mellow fellow, at last
for now. It will be fun to train both dogs for the show ring
and obedience. It is a good thing I am retired!
